Mindfulness Workshops with Isabelle Roney

Allanbank Arts will be offering three mindfulness sessions (2.30hrs each session) to focus on reducing stress and increasing well-being through techniques inspired by the Buddhist tradition. These sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those who already practice mindfulness.
The sessions will combine mindfulness practices and discussions both resulting in the start of or support in living more mindfully through embracing a range of strategies and tools to support you in you in your everyday life.
The workshops will be an opportunity to review the way we cope with challenges and difficulties and explore different ways of being with these.
The course will run on Sundays throughout the Spring.
Refreshments will be provided.
Sundays 10.30 am – 1pm

Isabelle is a Consultant Counselling Psychologist who lives in the Borders.  She works for Northumbria Healthcare Care Foundation Trust as the Clinical Lead for “North Tyneside Talking Therapies” (provision of psychological therapies within primary care) and has a small private practice in Newcastle and the Borders.
Isabelle became drawn towards mindfulness/meditation many years ago and started to practice regular sittings as well yoga for personal benefits. As the mindfulness approach made its way into the psychological world, it became a natural transition; Isabelle has applied mindfulness in her NHS work for over 15 years with patients and in her work with staff. 
Isabelle continues her personal journey and development at Samye Ling Monastery where she attends regular workshops and retreats.
